The project's actions ensure the successful implementation of the project, as well as the achievement of the qualitative and quantitative objectives that were set from the beginning of the project.

A. Preparatory actions, elaboration of management plans and/or of action plans

This preparatory part of the project is divided into five (5) preparatory actions. These actions include the collection of all necessary data that will lead to the correct and successful implementation of the concrete conservation actions.

A.1 Composition and structure of habitat type 9590*
A.2 Elaboration of a fire protection plan for the habitat type 9590*
A.3 Assessment of health and vitality of habitat type 9590*
A.4 Assessment of the impact of specific concrete conservation activities
A.5 Preparation of Action Plan for the implementation of conservation actions

C. Concrete conservation actions

Concrete conservation actions (Actions C) are the actions that lead to the direct improvement and/or reverse the decline of the ecological condition and conservation status of the targeted habitat 9590*. They consist of sound forestry management techniques and infrastructure investments, mainly within (in situ) but also outside (ex situ) of the habitat 9590*. The project involves five concrete conservation actions, which are divided in terms of how and where these will be implemented, based on the preparatory (A) actions.
C.1 Silvicultural interventions in Cedrus stands
C.2 Restoration and expansion of the habitat type 9590*
C.3 Protection of the habitat type 9590* against forest fires
C.4 Measures for improving the resilience of habitat type 9590*
C.5 Ex situ conservation of the targeted habitat type

D. Monitoring of the impact of the project actions (obligatory)

This group of actions focuses on developing a methodology for monitoring the project's implementation and its impact on socio-economic aspects on the local economy and local people. In addition, these actions aim to assess the impact of the project on the ecosystems functions in the targeted site.

D.1: Monitoring and evaluation of project's performance, findings and outcomes
D.2: Assessment of socio-economic impact
D.3: Assessment of impacts on ecosystem functions

E. Public awareness and dissemination of results

This part of the project focuses on raising awareness and disseminating the project's objectives, its activities and its outcomes to the general public and to targeted stakeholder groups. Promoting habitat 9590* and developing all necessary practices and actions that will contribute towards its conservation, is the goal of the actions that follow.

E.1: Dissemination planning and execution
E.2: Technical dissemination

F. Project management

Ensuring the proper implementation of the project at a technical, scientific and economic level, through the development of a coordinated and integrated project management system.

F.1 Project management
F.2: Project Monitoring and Compilation of information
